The SSI Advanced Open Water Diver course is the perfect upgrade for certified divers who want to dive deeper, improve underwater skills, and explore more challenging environments. This experience-based program includes 5 open-water training dives completed over two full days, combining essential core skills with customized specialty dives based on your interests.
Under the guidance of a professional SSI instructor, you’ll expand your comfort, learn safer dive planning, improve buoyancy control, and become qualified to dive deeper — opening the door to many new dive sites in Phu Quoc and around the world.

Course Program (5 Dives)
Mandatory Core Dives
- Deep Diving – Learn proper techniques for diving to 30m, gas management, and depth-related considerations.
- Underwater Navigation – Practice compass work, natural navigation, distance estimates and patterns.
Choose 3 Specialty Adventure Dives

Course Schedule
Day 1 – Navigation + 1 Specialty Dive
- Morning hotel pick-up
- Meet your instructor, safety briefing, course orientation
- Review key theory topics and dive planning
- Boat departure and equipment setup
- Dive 1: Underwater Navigation
- Dive 2: Specialty Dive
- Lunch on board, surface intervals & debriefings
- Return to harbor, logbook session
Day 2 – Deep Dive + 2 Specialty Dives
- Morning pick-up and equipment setup
- Dive 3: Deep Diving (mandatory)
- Dive 4 & 5: Two Specialty Dives
- Final debrief, completion paperwork & certification
- Afternoon return to hotel
